"Sowing man of IKIRO" in Auvers-Sur-Oise, France

November 2000

Vincent Van Gogh has been inspiring Suzuki in a spiritual way.
Vincent wrote "I want to be a man who sows the word of God." on a letter before he became a painter.
Suzuki wants to spread his IKIRO seed everywhere in the world.

For three month Van Gogh lived in Auvers-sur-Oise, a small village north of Paris. He moved here in 1890 after spending a year at the asylum in Saint-R?my. Suzuki performed at the field where Van Gogh made the last painting: Like Van Gogh's sowing man, Suzuki throw the IKIRO paper at the sky, little by little, letting the papers find fertile grounds to grow.

This performance was filmed.
