This was the first IKIRO performance outside of Japan.Takahiro started to write IKIRO on the paper for one year before the performance. He needed a lot of papers for the installation in the park. Writing IKIRO everyday was as important as the performance in the park, so that his expression became a long-term conceptual project along with daily work. The performance in the park lasted for 4 hours.He asked some friends to distribute concept sheets of the performance. Since then IKIRO installation has become his standard styleand Takahiro has been writing IKIRO constantly.
