"ONE" - before "IKIRO" - Tokyo, Japan 1991 / Watarium, Tokyo, Japan 8 hours a day for one week Takahiro slept in the metal box with black soil under him. This work was made for the exhibition "Room for thinking of Beuys" at Watarium in Tokyo. At that time Takahiro started to use his body as a material of his work. He has been making many kinds of performance art. This is one of his first work including himself. Joseph Beuys is one of Takahiro's favourite artist. Beuys inspired him to start IKIRO project.
